Book audit

Faulty bookings in books updating generate warehouse discrepancies, although they do not actually exist. If there is no book-check or if it is faulty, booking errors are not noticed and not corrected. A result of this is assessment of the booking errors as warehouse discrepancies.

In a book audit, the bookings of the inventory updates are followed up or re-recorded on the basis of the documents.

The result of a book audit cannot be forecast in advance. But it is possible to check on the basis of the situation whether there are indications making a book audit appear sensible.
